Lavazza Barista Challenge is your chance to step out of your everyday routine behind the espresso bar and into the limelight, where your talent can shine. This is all about you, your craft and the passion you bring to every cup of coffee.
How to participate
To participate, simply fill out the form. Submit your registration no later than 15/08/2026.
We will review the registrations, and our Coffee Trainer, Teela, will reach out to you.

A competition for ambitious baristas
Lavazza Barista Challenge is a dynamic and inspiring championship designed to bring together Denmark’s most talented baristas to compete at an international level.
The 10 participants selected by the judges to advance to the qualification round must demonstrate their barista skills by preparing both a traditional espresso and a creative signature coffee drink.
Both drinks must be prepared using one of Lavazza’s Tales of Italy blends: Galleria or Canal Grande.
If you advance to the final round, you will receive professional barista training to prepare you for the international final in Turin.
The participant must prepare 4 espressos, which will be evaluated based on both technical and sensory criteria.
The participant must prepare 4 espresso based signature drinks, adding their own unique touch.

Good advice if you’re keen on winning
Refine your techniques and experiment with different coffee blends to find the perfect balance of flavour. Practise your latte art and perfect your signature drink so that both taste and presentation stand out. Ask colleagues and mentors for feedback to sharpen your skills even further. The better prepared you are, the more confident you’ll feel on competition day.
Travelling to Turin to take part in the final was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. To anyone considering entering: go for it!
